1:3-7. Grace & peace to you from God & Jesus Christ. I remember you frequently in my prayers, because I hear about your love for all of God's people and your faith in Jesus. I pray that our work together helps deepen your understanding of the good things we do in Christ's name. You have given me much joy and encouragement because of how you are touching people's hearts.
1:8-17. Watch after my son Onesimus while I am in jail for preaching the gospel. He was once your slave, but I'm sending him to you as a brother. Treat him right, as you would me.
1:18-21. I will pay you back whatever it costs you. Please be kind and do me this favor. I know it's bit of an ask, but I have faith you won't let me down.
1:22. Also prepare a room for me! Fingers crossed!
